Abstract

This research aims to develop a decision support system integrated into the NovelToon application. The method used is Preference Selection Index (PSI), which is effective in assisting decision-making by integrating influencing factors. This system uses the Java programming language and integrates criteria such as reader interests, theme popularity, genre suitability, and writing difficulty level. The PSI method will calculate alternative theme scores based on criterion values, and the theme with the highest score will be recommended. The system also provides detailed information about the generated themes. This research has benefits for authors, users, and NovelToon. Data collection is done through surveys with online questionnaires. The system development follows the waterfall method. The research results show that this decision support system can assist NovelToon authors in determining the best theme, improving writer quality, and attracting more users. Suggestions for further research include making the application more user-friendly and enhancing its visual appeal.
